Clear Quartz is one of the most abundant and versatile minerals on Earth.  It is known for its glassy lustre and its excellent transparency which allows light to pass through easily.  Clear Quartz forms through the crystallisation of silica-rich fluids, either during the cooling of magma in igneous rocks or as solutions in hydrothermal veins.  It can also result from the recrystallisation of existing quartz grains under high pressure and temperature conditions during the formation of certain metamorphic rocks.  Clear Quartz belongs to the hexagonal crystal system and has a ranking of 7 on the Mohs scale of hardness, making it resistant to scratching.  Metaphysically, Clear Quartz is believed to enhance energy, focus, and the effects of other crystals.  It is associated with all chakras as it is considered a versatile and balancing crystal.
