This Protea Pendant was made by us, in our bus. We turn natural Protea Hearts into wearable, earthy pieces, showcasing the natural beauty of their patterns.
Each Protea used in our jewellery has been ethically and sustainably harvested in the Huon Valley, Tasmania. They are sanded by hand to reveal the amazing patterns and Nature Matrix beneath. Interestingly, these self replicating matrices are different to the Fibonacci sequence, and are instead determined by environmental conditions rather than a consistent mathematical sequence, making each piece truly unique.
The pieces used in our pendants are naturally cured and polished with 100% organic linseed oil and Australian beeswax. Even after this curing process our pendants still retain their signature subtle spicy fragrance. Pendants are attached to an adjustable leather cord and come with a cotton bag for safe keeping.

As these pendants are made from natural seedpods, they will gradually begin to deteriorate over time if exposed to soaps, beauty/body products and excess water. If this exposure does occur, simply re-coat with linseed oil or beeswax.
