Floral Pop 1

This 'accidental artwork' is part of the Floral Pop series.  The pieces in this sequence are made by combining discarded layers from artworks that haven’t turned out as intended, as well as the inverse shapes that are cut out from other mandalas.

Due to either machine or human error, the discarded layers are ones that have been damaged, incorrectly cut, or wrongly sized end layer. When this happens, the ‘waste’ layers are placed aside, and then every so often are brought together and assembled into unintentional artworks. These unexpected compositions reveal a raw beauty in spontaneity, and offers a powerful reminder of the creative potential in failure and waste.
